2. Install OktoPrep from installer on iphone tweaks (1.1.1)
3. Upgrade to 1.1.2 using iTunes
4. Jailbreak using this jailbreak.rar

This process will roll your firmware from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 so it can be unlocked. As soon as a STABLE unlock is available for 1.1.2 it will be posted here. I will e-mail you to inform you when that is (mid - end of November)

To enter recovery mode, connect the phone to the computer and press and hold the Power button (on top) and the Home button (on bottom front) simultaneously. After about 15 seconds phone will appear to turn off, release the Power button but keep holding the Home button. After about 15 seconds the computer and iTunes will detect the phone in recovery mode, and you can perform a restore. IMPORTANT: If you just click the restore button, it will restore it with the latest firmware. It's much safer to manually select firmware instead. If you want to manually select a different firmware you can hold down SHIFT key (Windows) or Option/ALT-key (Mac) when clicking the Restore button, and it will let you choose firmware file. Download the wanted firmware here (you would normally want 1.1.1).

This method only works with firmware 1.1.1 so if you are running an older version (ie. 1.0.2) please update to 1.1.1 before going any further or if you are running firmware 1.1.2 please downgrade to 1.1.1.

Take your fresh IPhone running 1.1.1 firmware and turn it on. If it is not running 1.1.1, then you will need to update it: by disconnecting the phone , turn the phone off, hold down home, and re-connect the phone.

Put your new sim card into the phone

Now press the Home button and you will be at the activate iPhone screen. Slide the emergency slider again. Enter the following *#307# then press Call. The iPhone will ring, press the X button at the top to delete all the characters you just entered. Now enter: 0 then press Call again while it is still ringing. Now press Answer, then press hold, then press Decline.

You will now be at the iPhone's dialing keypad. Press the Contacts button below. You are now at the contacts screen. Press the + in the upper right corner to make a new contact.

Press the First, Last button. Enter A for the first name then press Save in the upper right corner. Now press the Add new URL button. Enter: prefs://1F then press Save in the upper right corner, it will take you back a screen, now add another URL called http://jailbreakme.com

Press Save again and it will take you to the contact's page, now press Save And click on the prefs://1F url

You will now be in the Settings screen. Press General then Auto-Lock, then Never. Then back to the Settings screen. Press Wi-Fi, then select your network. Enter your password and press Join. You should now be connected to your Wi-Fi network.

Press the Home button and you will be taken back to the activate iPhone screen. Slide the emergency slider again. Enter: 0 then press Call. Press Answer, then hold then Decline.

Now click on the 'A' contact and head to the jailbreakme.com url. Scroll to the bottom of the page and press the Install AppSnapp button. Safari should crash after a few seconds.

****If it doesn't crash after 1 minute, then press the Home button. Wait until the iPhone becomes responsvie, then go into the keypad again and enter a 0 and Call it, then go back to the contact screen and press Z and press the URL button again. If Safari still locks up, hold the home button down for 4 to 8 seconds as this will restart the browser, then visit the jailbreakme link again using the keypad > 0 > call functionality. You may need to repeat this process several times for Safari to crash. ****

Once Safari crashes it will send you back to the activate iPhone screen. Wait about 30 seconds and the iPhone should chirp and the animation over the slider will freeze and start again.

The iPhone will then ring, so slide the slider to answer. The iPhone will then freeze. Turn the iPhone off and then back on. You will now have access to the SpringBoard.

Now click on Installer on the home screen, now click on Install at the bottom of the screen >> now click on All Packages

Now click on install Community Sources, then install BSD Subsystem and then install OpenSSH before adding any other programs. Once they are installed you can install our patched version of anySIM and unlock your iPhone.

Now go to Sources >> Edit >> Add and type in http://rep.frenchiphone.com and click Save Go back to Install you will see anySIM 1.1p in the list

Now install anySIM using Installer, and then go back to the iPhone home screen, click on the anySIM icon and follow the prompts.

Now remove anySIM from the phone using Installer >> Uninstall

Warning:
We are expecting apple to release an updated version of it's firmware v1.1.2Upgrading to this version will relock your iPhone.
This would be a good time to disable auto updates.

For Windows users:
In iTunes
Click on edit, preferences, general tab and uncheck auto update
For Mac users:
Click on preferences, general tab uncheck auto-update
If you ever dock your iPhone and open iTunes and are presented with a box giving you the option of updating your phone. Check out of the box that says “don’t show again” and click on cancel.

Youtube Fix
Access Youtube - it should come up with an error saying You must first connect to iTunes with an Internet connection to enable YouTube.
Now go to installer, click on Sources, then Edit and then Add and type in http://www.sendowski.de/iphone and click Save
Go back to Install >> Tweaks 1.1.1, and install youTubeFix for 1.1.1. Reboot your phone, and access Youtube.

Number formatting and CLI fix
If your computer is running windows, you will need to Download winSCP.exe
If your computer is running Mac OS X, you will need to Download Fugu
Download AppSupport-1.1.1-10.tar and UIPhoneFormats.plist.zip then double click these files to decompress them.
Make sure the files 'AppSupport' and 'UIPhoneFormats.plist' are on your Desktop and copy these files onto the phone into the following directories using WinSCP or Fugu

Getting Voicemail Working:
If you want to get voicemail working on your phone, you will need to enter the following in the phone keypad application

Obviously replacing the word 'phonenumber' with the number of your voicemail. With vodafone in the UK, I dial 121 so I entered

Cannot Open outlookitems saved in .msg format

Symptoms –
When you click on outlookitem saved in .msg file format , it wont open, instead it will blink and nothing will happen at all.

01. this might because of you have installed Google Desktop search , if so disable indexing in Google desktop search

Go to control panel > add remove programs > Google Desktop and click remove you will get a window like below and check Disable Indexing, and Say yes.

hope Google will fix this soon.

Create a new folder (something like Saved Messages) under your personal folders in out look and drag saved messages and see it opens.

1. On the server you have selected to load BlackBerry Enterprise Server download and install “Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1” which is available from the Microsoft Download site (a.k.a ExchangeMapiCdo.EXE). This will install the CDO and MAPI DLLs which are no longer available in Exchange 2007. This replaces the previous requirement to have Exchange System Manager installed as in Exchange 2000 or 2003 environments. 2. Log onto your Exchange Server using an account which has permissions to create an account. Open the Exchange Management Console and create a service account called BESadmin.

3. From the Exchange 2007 server open the “Exchange Management Shell” which can be found in the Exchange program group. From EMS run the following two scripts to set the delegate control and required permissions:get-mailboxserver add-exchangeadministrator BESAdmin –role ViewOnlyAdminget-mailboxserver add-adpermission –user BESAdmin –accessrights ExtendedRight –extendedrights Send-As, Receive-As, ms-Exch-Store-Admin

4. Open Active Directory and from the View menu select "Advanced Features". Then go to each user that will be added to the BES and open their properties, go to the security tab and add the user BESadmin and add the security permission "Send As". (This will overcome some MS patches that prevent BES sending emails). Methods are available to add BESadmin "Send As" rights to all users if required but this method ensures only the required users have permissions added.

5. Make BESadmin a local Administrator of the server where you will be installing the BES software. This is done by right mouse clicking my computer and selecting “Manage”. From Computer Management expand “Local Users & Groups” and select Groups. From Groups double click “Administrators” and add BESadmin.

6. On the BES server go to “Administrative Tools” and open "Local Security Policy" and then expand the "Local Policies" and "User Right Assignment". You need to add BESadmin to "Log on Locally" and log on as Service".

7. Log onto the server where you will be installing the BES using the BESadmin account. Extract the install files and run the install file. Normally you select "BlackBerry Enterprise Server" as the install option once prompted as most sites don't use the MDS services for custom applications (MDS is a much heavier install). Follow the prompts of the install and the server will be required to restart half way through the install. Restart the server and log back on as BESadmin and the install will continue. (Make sure the Connect Test works and the SRP ID etc is validated during the install)

8. After the install is finished open BlackBerry Manager, an error will appear about MAPI client which you can just hit OK. The MAPI setting windows will appear so just add the server name back in and select "Check Name", if it resolves just hit OK and the manager will start.

9. Within Blackberry Manager click on Blackberry Domain in the left column and then the users SERVERS tab in the centre section, select your server within this tab and view the properties below. Ensure that "SRP Status:" is Connected (This can take a few minutes the first time so refresh the screen a few times). Once your status is connected you can start adding users.

10. Within Blackberry Manager click on your server name (The blue server) in the left column and then the users TAB in the centre section, just add a user and the click on that user. You will see all the users’ properties and a drop down menu called "Service Access” and select “Set Activation Password” and set a password of “a” for example.

11. Turn on you BlackBerry device and ensure Wireless is enabled. Go into “Options/Settings” and “Time & Date” and set the correct zone and time etc. Then from the home screen go to enterprise activation and enter the users email address and enter the password that was set in step 10. Press the track wheel and select Activate. Within a minute you should get data returned which indicates the process is functioning correct.

I was using Asterisk , VOIPSWITCH, SER and Trixbox for few years and always wanted to setup my mobile phone to register as a SIP client.

As with anything like this, This may well screw up your phone so do it at your own risk.(There is always a hard reset)

I must say that it is pretty cool, what “Internet Calling” does is automatically switch outbound calls to VOIP whenever the phone has a WiFi Connection, no user input is needed to route the calls via voip, if the connection is present it gets used, if it is not present calls revert to GSM.
Also the phone acts as a standard TB extension - Lan usrs can call it, stick it in a ringroup or a follow me – all the standard TB stuff.
My step-up is not perfect, but it works for me in the office when connected our wifi network, I also haven’t really bothered to figure out the dial plan add a “9” as our Trixbox needs.
If you don’t know how to App Unlock your phone, edit it’s registry or some of the other stuff the thread will lead you to - check the thread or have a look at http://www.modaco.com A good forum for dealing with these phones.
The above thread runs to something like 600 replies so I will summarise what I did.
1. Application unlock the phone.If your WM6 Device comes Locked down by your Mobile Co, this may be needed.
2. Install certain VOIP Client files if missing.Orange(UK) somehow managed to leave the VOIP software out when putting together their ROM? (how could that happen?) Download and install the CAB file linked in the above article. – same article also describes how to tell if this is needed.
3. Set Internet Calling toStart,Settings,Phone,InternetCalling = Whenever available
4. Provision the Phone: - Her you need to follow the instructions to create and install a _setup.xml file on your phone: - Here is the version that works on my Trixbox:XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX = TB IP

Your issue is that the cert name is stuck on the internal fqdn, while the ol2k7 client is looking at the https name, eg; mail.mydomain.com not server.insidedomain.net. There are several fixes, some dealing with SAN naming on the certs. Do a search on this in this forum. I posted serveral times how to fix this. As well, there are MSKB articles. Shudnow.net has a fix - which is the same one I posted here. NM, here it is again. Not my material, but fixed it for me. Outlook 2007 Certificate Error? When you choose the View Certificate button, it brings up another window that shows you what certificate is in error. In this case, the certificate name is “mail.shudnow.net.”

So the million dollar question? Why the error?

Well, when we install a new certificate, there are a few tasks we want to do. Obviously, we install the certificate for a purpose. This purpose is till allow us to use Exchange services securely. So how do we enable Exchange to use these services? If you are planning to do a very simple configuration and do not care about external Autodiscover access, you do not need to use a Unified Communication Certificate. You can read more about these certificates in one of my other articles here.

So let’s say we have a simple regular common certificate. A certificate with a Common Name (CN) of mail.shudnow.net We install this certificate onto our Exchange box with its’ private key. In our case we were migrating so we did not have to request a certificate via IIS. We just exported it with its’ private key and imported onto the new box. We then assigned this certificate to IIS. Now I went to the Exchange Management Shell and enabled Exchange services to use this certificate. In order to do this, you must run the following commands:

What I did was go ahead and enable all new services to use every available service by using the following command:

The next step would be to ensure the AutodiscoverInternalURI is pointed to the CAS that will be your primary CAS for Autodiscover servicing.

See the issue here? We are not using a UC certificate that contains the names, “casnetbiosname, casnetbiosname.shudnow.net, mail.shudnow.net, and autodiscover.shudnow.net” Since the Autodiscover directory in IIS will be requring SSL encryption, the url specified in the AutoDiscoverServiceInternalURI must match what is specified in your certificate. You must also ensure there is a DNS record that allows mail.shudnow.net to resolve to your CAS. We should re-configure the AutoDiscoverServiceInternalURI by using the following command:

We now need to go configure all the InternalURLs for each web distributed service. Here is the reason why we were receiving the certificate errors. Your InternalURLs most likely are not using mail.shudnow.net. Your InternalURLs are most likely pointed to something such as https://casnetbiosname/ServiceURL which will fail since this is not the CN of your simple certificate.

You can run the following commands to fix your internalURLs so your Outlook 2007 client can successfully take advantage of your web distribution services.

Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Identity “CASServer\EWS (Default Web Site)” -InternalURL https://mail.shudnow.net/EWS/Exchange.asmx -BasicAuthentication:$true

Set-OABVirtualDirectory -Identity “CASServer\OAB (Default Web Site)” -InternalURL https://mail.shudnow.net/OAB -BasicAuthentication:$true

401 Error when attempting Test-OutlookWebServices (MS Exchange 2007)

Some users have been recieving 401 Error when attempting to run Test-OutlookWebServices from the CAS server. The below articles talks about why IIS returns this error.

You can test this by attemtping to access the server in the following way:
https://netbiosname/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml :It will prompt for credentials. After prompting a couple of times we get the following error:Error: Access is Denied.-

Use https://localhost/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml :It will work fine and give an output.
DisableLoopbackCheck can be disabled but then the system is left open to an attack and I would not recommend disabling this function unless you will enable once testing is completed.
: Disable the loopback checkFollow these steps:

1.Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

2.In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

3.Right-click Lsa, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

4.Type DisableLoopbackCheck, and then press ENTER.

5.Right-click DisableLoopbackCheck, and then click Modify.

6.In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.

7.Quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.

How to "Virginize" an unlocked phone

How to "Virginize" an unlocked phone before update to 1.1.1

Ignore all long and complex tutorials - I have set up a fully automatic script that will repair the phone so that you can upgrade it.

1.)Set Settings → General → Auto Lock → Never

2.) Make sure Modem firmware is 03.14.08_G. Check this in Settings → General → About.

3.) Start Installer and update it if it asks. Tap on Sources, Edit, and Add http://i.unlock.no/ as a repository.

4.) Make sure you have BSD Subsystem installed, if not, go to System category and install it.

5.) Now, install The Virginizer found in the Unlocking Tools category. This will take about 3-5 minutes to complete.

Only use if you never updated to 1.1.1 before! (that means, only use if your Modem firmware is 03.14.08_G. Check this in Settings → General → About).

How to "Virginize" if you already upgraded and have 04.01.13_G.

You would want to do this if you upgraded to 1.1.1, and now have 0049xxx IMEI, and Modem version 04.01.13_G. Check this in Settings → General → About.

1.) Set Settings → General → Auto Lock → Never

2.) Install BSD SubSystem found in System Category.

3.) Go to Sources and tap edit and add http://i.unlock.no/ (if you haven't already).

4.) Now install "Virginize 04.x" found in Unlocking Tools category. This will take almost 10 minutes.

5.) When done, restore your phone to get 1.1.1 firmware reinstalled.

When phone have been restored, you can Activate and unlock as normal.

Unlock your IPHONE firmware version 1.1.1 (Method 1)

This tutorial assumes that your iPhone is brand new, and have firmware version 1.1.1. If you are unsure, here is how to check: On the emergency dial screen dial *3001#12345#* and tap Versions. Firware version should be 04.01.13_G. If it's 03.14.08_G you have v1.0.2 and need to update it to 11.1 first.

Tips and tricks
Some of these tricks require computer skills। Don't ask me for help। :)

Bypass activation and prepare phone for software installation

1.) Make sure you have a SIM-card with PIN turned off, and power on your phone (the supplied AT&T card works fine).

2.) On the activation screen, slide to emergency and dial: *#301# to make the phone call itself. (If the incoming call dialog quickly disappears but it keeps ringing, just dial 0 (remove *#301# first), and it will call itself)

3.) Answer the call, and tap on Hold

4.) Phone will call it self again, tap Decline। You will now be returned to the normal dialer.

5.) Tap on contacts, and tap the + icon to add a new. The only info you are going to add to this contact are two URL's. To add a URL, tap Add new URL. The first URL is prefs followed by a colon: prefs: and the second is jailbreakme.com. Tap Save.

6.) Your contact now has two "web pages" - tap on the first one (prefs:). This will take you to the settings dialog. The reason you want this, is because you need to connect to a Wi-Fi network, so tap on Wi-Fi, and get connected to a network, and make sure the icon on top of the screen is indicating that you are connected. While you are in the settings dialog, you should also set: General → Auto-Lock → Never.

7.) Now, press the home button, and again, slide to emergency dial 0, Answer the call, Hold and Decline the new call so that you get to the contacts। Tap on your contact (No Name), and this time tap on the other home page, jailbreakme.com

8.) Safari will launch and show you a webpage. Read through the text, before you Install AppSnapp

9.) Phone will return to activation screen, but don't panic, just wait।

10.) Phone should automaticly restart after almost a minute If it does not restart withing 2 minutes, click here.

11.) When the phone starts again, it should no longer say Slide to emergency, but rather Slide to unlock It means it was successfull! Activation is now bypassed, and phone prepared for software installation! (If you are going to use an AT&T SIM, you won't need to do the next step.)

Unlock the SIM-lock

1.) Open installer, and install the update if prompted.

2.) Go to sources and tap Edit and Add

3.) Add this URL: http://i.unlock.no

4.) Tap Done and then Refresh

5.) Go to Install (at bottom) and scroll down to the Unlocking Tools category and install AnySIM

6.) When installed you can press the home button, and you will find a new AnySIM icon on your home screen. Launch it and follow the instructions.

7.) The unlocking process will take about 5-10 minutes, in the end it should say it was successful!

8.) To clean up your phone, launch Installer and uninstall AnySIM. Then go to Settings → General → Auto-Lock and set it to a prefered value.
